Your use of color is what makes the image so eye-catching. The fennec fox's fur color against the brownish-reddish background really makes it pop. As do the eyes against the fur.
I really like the pose as well. Your anatomy is good, especially the proportions of the face.
The only things I might change is the color on the inside of the ears compared to the color around it. It makes it a bit hard to distinguish the ears from the background. I also may have added something as simple as a rock in the background, an object in the background makes all the difference.
All in all, I think this is a very good piece of art. Even after leaving this page, I will remember those red eyes.
